Schmidt College of Arts and Letters presents the 2025 Constitution Day lecture: The Role of the Courts in Interpreting the Constitution with Florida Supreme Court Justice Renatha Francis. The lecture will take place on Monday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. in the Osher Lifelong Learning Societys Barry and Florence Friedberg Auditorium, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. Francis is the 92nd Justice and the first Jamaican-American appointed to the state's highest court. She will share insights from her inspiring journey from her early life in Kingston, Jamaica, to her distinguished legal career across Floridas judicial system. This timely conversation will explore the role of the courts in American constitutional democracy.
