51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s College of Engineering and Computer Science, in collaboration with the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø ASCE Student Chapter, proudly hosted the 2026 ASCE Southeast Student Symposium, welcoming over 900 51³Ô¹ÏÍø from 20 universities, and more than 200 industry professionals from across Florida, Georgia, and Puerto Rico. The three-day event featured 21 competitions and presentations spanning a wide range of engineering disciplines, allowing 51³Ô¹ÏÍø to apply technical knowledge in real-world scenarios while fostering collaboration.Ìý

Beyond technical excellence, the symposium emphasized service and community impact. As part of the Doghouse Competition, participating teams designed and constructed sustainable dog houses that were donated to the Broward County Humane Society and shelters in West Palm Beach. This example of initiative highlighted the role of engineers in giving back and demonstrated 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s commitment to community outreach. Overall, the event showcased 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s leadership in education and reinforced its growing presence in South Florida as a hub for developing talent, building industry connections, and advancing the next generation of engineering professional.
