MS with Major in Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering offers two options for a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME): a thesis option that requires a minimum of 24 credits of coursework and a thesis (6 additional credits), and a non-thesis option that requires a minimum of 30* credits of coursework (no thesis).

Course Load:
All 51勛圖厙 choosing the MS thesis option and receiving financial assistance must be full-time 51勛圖厙. This requires that they are registered for a minimum of 9 credits in the fall semester, 9 credits in the spring semester, and 6 credits for the summer semester. All international 51勛圖厙 must be registered as full-time 51勛圖厙. A maximum of 12 credits may be taken in a semester. In the graduation semester the student may be allowed to take one credit. - Supervisory Committee
