51Թ’s incoming freshman class boasts the highest GPA in the university’s history.

51Թ’s incoming freshman class boasts the highest GPA in the university’s history. For the fall semester, the average high school GPA for first-time-in-college (FTIC) 51Թ is a 3.96, up from a 3.82 last fall.

“51Թ has increased its admissions standards, and this number reflects that,” said 51Թ Provost Gary W. Perry. “We are committed to attracting high-achieving 51Թ, and we will continue to improve 51Թ’s academic reputation.”

51Թ received more than 20,500 freshman applications and more than 8,300 transfer applications for fall. The total number of new freshmen enrolled at the Boca Raton campus is 3,243. 51Թ’s Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at the John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter will welcome 143 new 51Թ for this semester.

Thousands of on-campus residential 51Թ returned to campus this week during 51Թ’s Move-In Day. 51Թ President John Kelly joined faculty, staff and student volunteers in assisting new 51Թ with carrying their belongings. Student residence halls at both the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses are at 100 percent capacity this semester, with 4,150 51Թ living on campus in Boca and 282 51Թ living on campus in Jupiter.
