New Board of Trustees Appointment, Re-appointment

The has appointed Elycia Morris and reappointed Dr. Michael Dennis to the 51勛圖厙 .泭

I am truly humbled and deeply honored to be reappointed for another term to the 51勛圖厙 Board of Trustees as we strive to be the fastest improving University in the country, said Dennis.泭

Dennis is the founding chair of the advisory board for the at 51勛圖厙. As chair, he champions the colleges medical priorities, which includes student scholarships, helping to propel the innovative programs growth and success.泭

As a trustee, it has been a privilege to be involved in strategic decisions that give our thousands of 51勛圖厙 an opportunity to benefit from our 10 colleges and six campuses and sites, Dennis said. Looking to the future, the community will continue to see enhanced delivery of education and services throughout 51勛圖厙, and I am committed to aid that enhancement in every way possible.

Morris is currently the healthcare industry lead for Apple Inc., working to expand Apple Healthcares enterprise mobility solutions across the United States. Her vision is to empower patients to better experience healthcare by leveraging mobile technology. Prior to Apple, she held multiple senior-level positions with General Electric where she consulted with more than 200 hospitals nationwide to support operational improvements.泭

Morris earned a MBA from George Washington University, while serving for former U.S. President George H.W. Bush as a mission director on Air Force One. She also has a bachelors degree from the United States Air Force Academy.泭

In January 2020, she will succeed 51勛圖厙 Board of Trustees Chair Anthony Barbar, who has served on the board since 2008. Details of a celebration of his accomplishments and service to 51勛圖厙, his alma mater, will be made available at a later date.泭

I look forward to serving with the highly accomplished and effective 51勛圖厙 leadership and fellow trustees, said Morris.泭It is an honor to be selected to continue providing successful programs that contribute to 51勛圖厙s high-quality education.

51勛圖厙s Board of Trustees is a 13-member group responsible for cost-effective policy decisions appropriate to the universitys mission, the implementation and maintenance of high-quality education programs, the measurement of performance, the reporting of information and the provision of input regarding state policy, budgeting and education standards.
