This Saturday, Sept. 2, Florida Atlantic will play its first football game in the American Athletic Conference. The Owls open the season at home against Monmouth University.  Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at 51�Թ��� Stadium.

In celebration of the Owls’ first season with new Hagerty Family Head Coach Tom Herman, the first 10,000 fans to enter the stadium will receive an "Owl Towel” bearing his image. We appreciate Baptist Health and Coca Cola for providing this keepsake, which will be waved by Coach Herman himself during the game.

I’d also like to congratulate quarterback Casey Thompson, who was recently named to the 2023 Golden Arm Award Watch List, presented by A.O. Smith. This award recognizes the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class. Thompson’s name on the Watch List places him among the nation's 48 leading quarterbacks.

Outfitted with an all-star team and new leadership, Florida Atlantic is in store for an incredible season of Football in Paradise. I encourage our entire community to join us Saturday for our American debut and throughout the season.

As a reminder, 51�Թ��� receive free entry to all home football games and can claim their tickets . All other ticket purchases, including season tickets, can be made .
