Memorial Cancer Institute/51³Ô¹ÏÍø Designated ‘Cancer Center of Excellence’

51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s recently formed research partnership with is already being recognized for quality care, results, and advances in research. The alliance between Memorial’s Cancer Institute and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø (MCI51³Ô¹ÏÍø) has been recognized by the state’s Department of Health as a “Florida Cancer Center of Excellence.â€
MCI51³Ô¹ÏÍø is just the fifth Cancer Center of Excellence in the state, selected from a pool of more than 80 competitors, to earn the designation. MCI51³Ô¹ÏÍø was formed in 2020 to combine the expertise of physicians and researchers under Memorial Cancer Institute, the Office of Human Research at Memorial Healthcare System and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s clinicians and researchers to bring clinical trials that will lead to advances in patient care and treatments for a variety of cancers.
We are extremely proud of our designation as a Florida Cancer Center of Excellence and we greatly appreciate this recognition from Gov. Ron DeSantis. By combining the vast knowledge, expertise and resources of both of our organizations, MCI51³Ô¹ÏÍø will help to accelerate lifesaving cancer research, clinical trials, patient care, and education in Florida and beyond.
