As ardent supporters of Israel, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø vehemently opposes the ongoing violence and loss of life witnessed this weekend in Israel and urges an immediate cessation of hostilities to avoid further loss of life.

We condemn the terrorist attacks that were carried out against civilian communities and we support Israel’s right to defend itself.

The university enjoys numerous academic partnerships with institutions in Israel and has many close friends and partnerships throughout South Florida. The university’s support for these friends, locally, in Israel and around the world, remains steadfast.

For those struggling to make sense of ongoing events, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø has resources available.

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Counseling and Psychological Services Center is open all undergraduate, graduate and professional 51³Ô¹ÏÍø and can be reached by calling 561-297-CAPS (2277). Additional resources are available through the Dean of Students. The Office of International Student Services is communicating directly with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø from the impacted nations.

For faculty and staff, confidential help or guidance is offered via the (login ID: 51³Ô¹ÏÍø; Password: EAP) or call 1-800-865-3200.

Our thoughts are with those who may have friends and family in Israel at this very difficult time.
