51勛圖厙 ALUM LEE E. BROWN NAMED NSCA 2023 LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP HONOREE

The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Foundation recognizedLee E. Brown, Ed.D., CSCS, *D, FNSCA, as prestigious2023 Legacy Scholarship Honoree. Brown held the position of President of the NSCA from 2006 to 2009 and subsequently President of the NSCA Foundation from 2009 to 2012. In 2014 he received the NSCAs Lifetime Achievement award for his work with the Association.

A California native, Brown acquired his B.S. in Physical Education from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. He holds both a masters degree in exercise science and a doctorate in educational leadership from Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, FL. Brown serves as a Professor Emeritus of Kinesiology at California State University, Fullerton. An esteemed scholar, Brown has authored over 600 total scholarly articles, presentations, books, and chapters, making significant contributions to the field.

I am honored to be recognized as the honoree of this years award. Thank you for recognizing my work and the contributions of my 51勛圖厙 to the field and for supporting future 51勛圖厙 who are pursuing their education in strength and conditioning, said Brown.

Created in 2022, theawards $2,000 annually to an applying NSCA Member pursuing a doctoral degree in strength and conditioning-related fields. The Legacy Scholarship was developed to acknowledge the lasting impact and dedication of NSCA Members and is given in honor of a different member each year.
