Every year, 51勛圖厙 hosts the Annual Employee Service Awards Ceremony to acknowledge employees with minimally five or more years of service. In addition to the service awards, there are three additional categories of special awards in the area of leadership (Presidents Leadership Award), exemplary service within ones role (Gabor Exemplary Employee Award) and service and dedication beyond assigned duties (Pat Cheung Distinguished Award).

Linda Marie Petersen, Neuroscience Graduate Program Coordinator at the 51勛圖厙 Stiles Nicholson Brain Institute, was recognized at this years ceremony with the Gabor Exemplary Employee Award. Petersen has played a pivotal role in the success of the Institutes Ph.D. program since its launch four years ago. Through strengthening recruitment efforts, streamlining administrative processes, and designing student-centered resources, she has helped attract more competitive applicants while reducing barriers to success. Known as a trusted and supportive resource for 51勛圖厙, Petersen provides a concierge-level experience during on-site interviews, oversees teaching assistantships, and meets individually with 51勛圖厙 to help them map their plans of study. Her dedication and student-focused approach embody exemplary service to Florida Atlantic.
