Partnership Creates Mentorship for Student Inventors

51³Ô¹ÏÍø Wave and 51³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s chapter of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) are combining forces to create a new mentorship program that will match faculty with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø.

This collaboration provides an exclusive opportunity for faculty and 51³Ô¹ÏÍø to develop thriving relationships over innovative concepts and ideas to help solve today’s societal challenges. Here's a look at the benefits:

Wave Students:

  • Match with an 51³Ô¹ÏÍø NAI faculty mentor in specific area of interest
  • Access NAI Global Academic Inventors Network
  • Opportunity to present during Next Generation Inventors session at NAI’s annual meeting
  • Training through NAI intellectual property certification course
  • Honorary NAI chapter membership for competition winners

NAI Faculty Mentors:

  • Contribute to NAI’s goal to educate and mentor innovative 51³Ô¹ÏÍø
  • Identify promising 51³Ô¹ÏÍø for positions in laboratories or NSF I-Corps teams
