51³Ô¹ÏÍø High School M.D. Direct Program

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø High School M.D. Direct Program is a highly selective, collaborative program with the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø who have a strong desire to pursue a career in medicine. Admitted 51³Ô¹ÏÍø earn a B.A. or B.S. degree from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, an approved 2-year M.S. degree from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø, and the M.D. degree from 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's College of Medicine (51³Ô¹ÏÍøCOM) in Boca Raton in seven or eight years. The College of Science and the College of Engineering and Computer Science may provide teaching or research assistantships to 51³Ô¹ÏÍøHS M.D. Direct 51³Ô¹ÏÍø during enrollment in their master's programs, which includes a partial tuition waiver.

Admission is open to highly qualified 51³Ô¹ÏÍø High School seniors, with preferential consideration given to National Merit Finalists and Scholars.

Important Information:

• Students who were early admitted to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø (51³Ô¹ÏÍø) in their junior year through 51³Ô¹ÏÍø High School do not need to complete the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø undergraduate application. Once confirmed to have met the eligibility requirements, these 51³Ô¹ÏÍø will receive an invitation to complete the BS/MD Qualtrics survey.
• 51³Ô¹ÏÍø HS Seniors who do not have an "Early Admissions" acceptance must complete the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Admissions form via the . Once an applicant has been confirmed to meet the eligibility requirements, they will be invited to complete the secondary application for the BS/MD program.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements to Apply

• SAT score of 1490 or a minimum ACT composite of 33
• Weighted high school GPA of at least 4.30
• Student must be a 51³Ô¹ÏÍø high school senior
• Experience with patient interaction - Highly recommended, but not required
• Research experience - Highly recommended, but not required
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident status
• Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in Fall Term after high school graduation
• Complete bachelor's degree at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø no earlier than Fall Term after high school graduation
• If National Merit Scholarship Program Finalist, must report 51³Ô¹ÏÍø as National Merit Scholarship Program Sponsor College First Choice

Application Requirements

1. To be considered for the B.S./M.D. Program, you must submit your B.S./M.D. application no later than 11:59 PM, EST on Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
2. A Curriculum Vitae (CV) from applicant must be emailed to faubsmdprograms@fau.edu. In the subject line type: CV-51³Ô¹ÏÍø High Med Direct Program (Insert Applicant Name).
3. One Letter of Recommendation (LOR) uploaded as a pdf file, from a counselor or high school teacher, must be sent by the letter writer to faubsmdprograms@fau.edu. In the subject line type: LOR- 51³Ô¹ÏÍø High Med Direct Program (Insert Applicant Name).
4. CV and LOR must be received no later than 11:59PM EST on Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
