51勛圖厙 High School M.D. Direct Program

The 51勛圖厙 High School M.D. Direct Program is a highly selective, collaborative program with the 51勛圖厙 Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine for 51勛圖厙 who have a strong desire to pursue a career in medicine. Admitted 51勛圖厙 earn a B.A. or B.S. degree from 51勛圖厙, an approved 2-year M.S. degree from 51勛圖厙, and the M.D. degree from 51勛圖厙's College of Medicine (51勛圖厙COM) in Boca Raton in seven or eight years. The College of Science and the College of Engineering and Computer Science may provide teaching or research assistantships to 51勛圖厙HS M.D. Direct 51勛圖厙 during enrollment in their master's programs, which includes a partial tuition waiver.

Admission is open to highly qualified 51勛圖厙 High School seniors, with preferential consideration given to National Merit Finalists and Scholars.

Important Information:

  • Students who were early admitted to 51勛圖厙 (51勛圖厙) in their junior year through 51勛圖厙 High School do not need to complete the 51勛圖厙 undergraduate application. Once confirmed to have met the eligibility requirements, these 51勛圖厙 will receive an invitation to complete the BS/MD Qualtrics survey.
  • 51勛圖厙 HS Seniors who do not have an "Early Admissions" acceptance must complete the 51勛圖厙 Admissions form via the . Once an applicant has been confirmed to meet the eligibility requirements, they will be invited to complete the secondary application for the BS/MD program.

Program Expectations and Requirements

Minimum Eligibility Requirements to Apply
(subject to change):

  • SAT score of 1490 or a minimum ACT composite of 33
  • Weighted high school GPA of at least 4.30
  • Student must be a 51勛圖厙 high school senior
  • Experience with patient interaction - Highly recommended, but not required
  • Research experience - Highly recommended, but not required
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident status
  • Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at 51勛圖厙 in Fall Term after high school graduation
  • Complete bachelor's degree at 51勛圖厙 no earlier than Fall Term after high school graduation
  • If National Merit Scholarship Program Finalist, must report 51勛圖厙 as National Merit Scholarship Program Sponsor College First Choice

Application Requirements

  1. To be considered for the B.S./M.D. Program, you must submit your B.S./M.D. application no later than 11:59 PM, EST on Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
  2. A Curriculum Vitae (CV) from applicant must be emailed to faubsmdprograms@fau.edu. In the subject line type: CV-51勛圖厙 High Med Direct Program (Insert Applicant Name).
  3. One Letter of Recommendation (LOR) uploaded as a pdf file, from a counselor or high school teacher, must be sent by the letter writer to faubsmdprograms@fau.edu. In the subject line type: LOR- 51勛圖厙 High Med Direct Program (Insert Applicant Name).
  4. CV and LOR must be received no later than 11:59PM EST on Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
