51³Ô¹ÏÍø has multiple pathways available for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø on the pre-health track to successfully achieve admission to Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) and other health professions graduate programs, such as Physicians Assistant (P.A.), Dental, Veterinarian, and more.

Pre-Health Professions Courses
- Current Issues in Biomedicine (ISC 1430) 1 credit
- Medical Shadowing Internship (IDS 4934) 1-3 credits
B.S./M.D. Dual Degree Program
The Schmidt College of Medicine offers programs which allow outstanding 51³Ô¹ÏÍø the opportunity to achieve their B.S. and M.D. degrees in 7-8 years. Students admitted into these highly selective programs will be offered conditional admission to the Schmidt College of Medicine provided they maintain the required program standards. Each student will work closely with the programs’ faculty and staff to develop an individual education plan and to ensure a smooth transition if accepted into the Schmidt College of Medicine.
